I waited and waited. Sable (pictured above) walked past me many times while I was sitting on the couch in the den watching TV with Mitzi (pictured below) laying next to me. Sable sniffed my hand each time, let me touch her & a few times, she let me stroke her back. I went to bed about 12:30 or 1:00 a.m. She explored the bedroom more thoroughly (she had run of the house - all doors except closets were open to her). Mitzi was in her usual spot on the bed, curled up next to my right thigh asleep, on the inside of the bed. Sable jumped up on the nightstands several times, saw Mitzi and jumped down. Then she (Sable) jumped onto the bed beside me, saw that I wasn't her foster parent & jumped down. After a few times of this, she stayed a little longer each time to let me stroke her. She talked to me & purred some. Then about 2:45 a.m. she laid down beside me on my left side next to my hip. After several turnarounds (purring a lot), she stayed in one position. I turned out the light
about 3:00 a.m. and went to sleep with my hand on her back. Wow!! I am so honored that she trusts me but that is because you taught her to trust. When I woke up, she was gone but came in the bathroom after a while and talked to me.
She is coming up to Mitzi & smelling her out today. Mitzi watched while Sable ate some of Mitzi's food today, glad to know that Mitzi is not food aggressive. I'm already in love with both of them.
