I thought I would give you an update on "Hooch," whose new name is Porter. We adopted him at the end of February, so he has been with us about four months now & he is fitting in wonderfully! At first he was obsessed with wanting to chase our cat, which had us a bit worried, but now that he is getting used to her & realizing that she is part of the family - QUEEN of the family, actually - he resists the urge...for the most part! I don't think he had ever seen a cat before, so it was a bit of an adjustment for all of us. We are glad we stuck with him, though, because he is so much fun! His favorite pastime is playing fetch. I think he would literally play until he fell over dead if we would let him! We also discovered the he loves water. When he drinks, he puts his paws in the bowl!. Then he sloshes it out & lays right in the mess! Luckily, he only does this when he's outside. He has better manners indoors! And he is such a love bug. Getting neck & butt rubs are his
favorite thing! Overall, we really love him & we are so glad we brought him into our home. Thank you!

P.S. Here are some pictures of Porter (& our other dog, Tucker).
Note from Metroplex Mutts. It took our Hooch a year to find his forever home. He was adopted by a great family in May and lost his home due to divorce. Then he was in a foster to adopt home and a family member turned out to be allergic to him. The third time is the charm! They have successfully weaned him off of pheoabarbitol for seizures he had in he past and he has not had a single seizure.
