It's all in the Name

Just wanted to thank you for helping us to adopt Diva......We were going to change her name to Fiona, but she would not respond to anything but Diva...so Diva it is!
You had mentioned that she was a DARTER and she was.She got out the front door twice; but came back after we chased her for a while and gave up.  Bill was funny....He said we have to get her back because we would never find another one... we wouldn't know what to ask for.  We still don't know her breed mixture....but my goodness she is a darling little dog....cute and so sweet.
She spends her days watching squirrels and birds... we feed the birds in the back and have two large trees in the front yard..We have low window sills and glass in our french doors and she goes from one to the other all day, unless we are in a room where she can't see out, the she comes in and lies next to one of us.
She is quite a runner, she just flies around the pool area...zoom, zoom.  She never even looks at the front door anymore....shows no interest in leaving her HAPPY HOME. When we got her we thought she had skin problems, scratching all the time...but that is all gone now.  Her coat is the prettiest shade of brown....she does tend to mat, but brushing her and her groomer's  shampoos, etc. have taken care of that.

Anyway we just love her and we are very happy that we have her.  Thank you again.

BAILEY MILLER

It has been a very fun weekend for the Miller family and Bailey. She did wonderful from the moment we met her Foster Dad on Friday and picked her up. She was doing so well that we went to PetSmart and got her new harness, leash, tag and toys. She was very timid of the people and especially the automatic doors when we entered but it didn't take her long to come out from behind mom's legs and enjoy the shopping; she's a true girl at heart! : ) By the time we left she had found her confidence. She took right to her new home, I truly believe she knows she is in her forever home and is completely comfortable. Bailey has gotten along well with all the animals, the duck and the cat being her favorite, if she can ever figure out what they are. : ) She had her first swimming lesson on Saturday. She wasn't too sure of it but she didn't mind mom holding her like a baby. Her big sis led the way and showed her how. She is a natural. She also took right to playing fetch. Unfortunately
for mom, I spoiled her with every time we went to potty we played; now it's a requirement. haha. She enjoys being at my feet when I work. She is a momma's girl, which is everything I hoped for. She is fabulous with the kids and really enjoys being around her family, furry family included. She shares very well, which we didn't expect from her or our pug (who has never shared until now). She also enjoys her bed and had no issues at all with being crated at night or when we leave. I think her "big" sister leading the way helps. The only "issue" we see is that she scratches at the door to come in once she's done going potty. We would rather her not do that and instead we will be purchasing a bell for her to learn to use. Not a biggie at all.

I don't think we could have prayed for a better outcome. Bailey is such a wonderful blessing to our family. Thank you so much for holding out for the right parents! Attached are a few photos of her first weekend. : ) She has truly settled in and called us home.

Skittles

Skittles joined our family in July, 2011 and is such a fun, happy little puppy! We have never had an easier time welcoming a new member to our family and we are all so happy to have Skittles! He loves all of the toys and balls in the house and can't get enough play time with Star - our Australian Shepherd! Between the kids, dogs and big back yard, Skittles is one tired boy by the end of the day. He has decided to share a bed at night with our two year old daughter - who couldn't be happier about that! They sleep the night away together and wake up ready for another day of playing! Our son has taken on the task of teaching Skittles how to play fetch and has begun training him on how to sit and stay - as long as there is a toy involved - Skittles happily goes along! Thank you so much for helping us adopt Skittles! He has made a wonderful addition to our family.

Molly

Hi! I'm Molly. I was adopted in March by a family with a big yard and a pool! I don't really like swimming in the pool, though, but I like to lay beside it. My big brother is Sweeney. He's a labradoodle. I guess I'm his little pesky sister, but he loves me! My human sister lets me sleep in her room with her at night time. I like that! I also like the couch for my naps. I have lots of toys and I play really well with them and don't mess with the stuff I'm not supposed to! I'm a pretty good girl and I love my forever home!
